Fishing In Canada The French River
By: Trevor Kugler
Obviously the title 'fishing in Canada' is more broad than Rosie O'Donnell's rear end, so let me clarify a little bit. Fishing in Ontario Canada and more specifically, The French River in Ontario Canada is something that almost anyone should consider as a vacation. As a matter of fact, not just fishing, but all outdoor activities can be found on the French River. If you're in to camping, hiking, canoeing, water sports, hunting, or just plain enjoy solitude, the French River is hard to beat. And if you like to spend some time wetting a line as well, the French River can help you with that as well.
The French River offers fishing for such fish as walleye, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, pike, musky, catfish, and even sturgeon. All types of fishing techniques work with one of the most popular being trolling. I think trolling is popular because of the beautiful scenery? People don't find trolling nearly as boring as it sometimes seems simply because of all the beautiful scenery to look at. At least that's my opinion.
Albert Einstein said, " Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better." I don't know that Mr. Einstein knew anything about the French River, but it would seem as if he did. Spending time on the French River has always helped me understand everything better. The solitude that the river provides is hard to beat.
The solitude is probably part of the reason that so many canoe enthusiasts visit the French River each year. With much of the river being deemed a national park just a few years ago, the sport of canoeing on the river took off. Many people enjoy taking a canoeing holiday on the French every year. The bottom line is if you're a canoe enthusiast, The French River is the place for you.
When you think of fishing in Canada, the French River is exactly what you're thinking about. The scenery, solitude, great fishing, and enough black flies to literally choke a horse. That, in a nutshell is the French River, and if you?re an outdoor enthusiast, you should investigate the river a bit further.
